The Heart of Virginia Council serves 14,000 young people in Central Virginia. We teach citizenship, character, and personal fitness.
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Why should you enroll your son in Scouting?
There are many reasons: To help him learn to be part of a team, to reinforce ethical decision-making, to teach goal-setting and how to lead others. It’s great if our kids are smart and athletic, but in the end what matters is that they are good people. We help parents do that.
Don’t take our word for it. See what other parents are saying about Scouting.
Scouting’s programs and outdoor adventures prepare young people for a lifetime of character and leadership. Questions? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
